MIS Steak Bake

The annual fundraiser for the MIS/442nd RCT will be approaching soon. This is a great opportunity to help a great cause, and have some fun in the kitchen - as well as meet some new friends!

This will be a 2-day event held over the weekend of July 24 - 25. The food preparation will begin on Saturday, July 24 from 8am to 1pm. Food prep will continue on Sunday, July 25 in the morning hours, and the food service will begin in the afternoon - approximately 2pm - Followed by clean-up at approximately 4pm.

You can sign-up for either Saturday or Sunday or both days. You can volunteer all day or just a few hours. Any and all help will be gladly accepted! Feel free to bring your kids to learn about community service or bring a loved one to spend the day giving back to the community. Or just come and hang out with friends to help a great cause!

Disneyland Scavenger Hunt

Join us for a day at Disneyland! Have fun scouting out little known secrets about the 'Happiest Place on Earth' - all the while riding rides and having a blast!

We'll be buying 2fer tickets -- which means a ticket that will get you admission to Disneyland or Disney's California Adventure Park on that day, and then you can back on another day to play in the other park for free -- so you can have double the fun.

Halloween Costume Party

It's that time of the year again! That's right! Nikkei Bridge's Halloween Costume Party is back!

With DJ Kaizen controlling our dance floors and plenty of fun people to dance and drink with, you can't go wrong! So be creative, grab your ghouls, monsters, and witches -- and creep on down to Restaurant Oiwake in Little Tokyo and have a Spooktacular Night!

The main dishes and desserts will be provided, so please show case your culinary skills by bringing your favorite appetizers, snacks, and drinks to share!


Nikkei Bridge will be at the firepit corresponding to Lifeguard Towers T-21 and T-22

This year's MIS Steak Bake has been scheduled for the weekend of August 1 - 2. It's a huge community service event for Nikkei-Bridge and helps an amazing group of people -- the veterans of the Military Intelligence Service!

Please come out to Maryknoll and show your support! Saturday is the prep day and we will be doing lots of food preparation, as well as setting up tables and chairs for the event. Sunday will consist of cooking, serving, and cleaning. However, there is also a chance to be the BINGO emcee and to run prizes to the eager winners of the BINGO games! Come out -- volunteer, make some new friends, and have fun! Even if you can't make both days, please come out for one shift or even just a couple of hours! Any time that you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Here are the shifts (which are flexible):

Nikkei Bridge will be helping out at JACCC's (Japanese American Cultural and Community Center) Annual Dinner.
