This year's MIS Steak Bake has been scheduled for the weekend of August 1 - 2. It's a huge community service event for Nikkei-Bridge and helps an amazing group of people -- the veterans of the Military Intelligence Service!
Please come out to Maryknoll and show your support! Saturday is the prep day and we will be doing lots of food preparation, as well as setting up tables and chairs for the event. Sunday will consist of cooking, serving, and cleaning. However, there is also a chance to be the BINGO emcee and to run prizes to the eager winners of the BINGO games! Come out -- volunteer, make some new friends, and have fun! Even if you can't make both days, please come out for one shift or even just a couple of hours! Any time that you can give will be greatly appreciated.
Here are the shifts (which are flexible):
Saturday (Aug 1):
9am to 2pm (food preparation)
Sunday (Aug 2):
8am to 1pm (food preparation)
12pm to 5pm (service and clean-up)

This is an outstanding event and the perfect time to give back to those who gave so much in years past. I will be there and hope that many others will find it in their hearts to give a little time as well.
